transmits and receives data in packets. In the U.S., the largest GSM cellular
carriers are Cingular and T-Mobile. GPRS service area covers over 260 million
Americans.
An estimated 225,000 GPS fleet tracking units deployed in the U.S. use GPRS for
communication.
